Patrick Harrison, Partner

Patrick has over 30 years’ experience working with high profile institutions, businesses and individuals in complex environments. Before joining Highgate, he was Director of Corporate Affairs at Weber Shandwick. He has provided counsel to a wide variety of clients, including CEOs and senior executives of multinational companies, high-net-worth individuals and their private offices, entrepreneurs, government ministers and their advisers. His work includes dispute resolution, special situations, crisis management, corporate and public affairs, country profiling, philanthropic campaigning and executive coaching.

From 2003 to 2014 Patrick was Press Secretary to HRH The Prince of Wales. His work included promoting understanding and appreciation of The Prince’s work and role, introducing The Duchess of Cornwall to public life and protecting Princes William’s and Harry's privacy. Patrick provided trusted advice on a wide range of issues including complex litigation, financial reporting, internal restructuring and philanthropic initiatives, as well as leading multi-stakeholder communications teams for the 2005 and 2011 royal weddings and for 24 official tours to 37 countries. In 2010’s New Year’s Honours, he was made a Lieutenant of the Victorian Order (LVO) in recognition of his work for The Prince of Wales.

He began his career as a journalist and went on to spend eight years in Whitehall promoting and explaining Government policy under both Conservative and Labour administrations. During the first Blair administration, he was Assistant Director of Information at the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions. He has a degree in history from London University.
