Michael is a former corporate investigator with a background in journalism.

Prior to joining Highgate, Michael worked for an international investigations consultancy where he specialised in asset tracing and complex, multi-jurisdictional investigations into issues such as bribery, fraud and tax evasion.

He was previously a reporter and editor for legal publication Global Investigations Review in London and in Washington, DC, where he specialised in covering foreign bribery, money laundering, sanctions and national security-related investigations. 

Michael began his career at a global insurance company in Australia before working as a freelance journalist in London writing for newspapers including The Guardian, The Independent and The New York Times.
